Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair diesel fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, and related gear. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with vendors to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on refrigeration experience, DOT-compliant maintenance knowledge, and the ability to read manuals. Tools are required, and travel for training may be needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• Willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer equipment repairs.
• Experience administering PM programs.
• Must furnish own hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety guidelines.
• Document repairs and parts used in maintenance software.
