Job summary

US Foods, Inc. seeks a qualified Fleet Maintenance Technician to service and repair diesel equipment including tractors, trailers and lift gates. The role emphasizes safety, DOT-compliant preventative maintenance, and documentation via fleet software.

Candidates should have 3+ years in reefer/refrigeration tech, hold TK/Carrier certifications, and be willing to travel for training. A high school diploma and own tools are required; welding is a plus.

Qualifications

3 years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
Willing to travel and attend trainings provided by US Foods.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer repairs.
Experience administering a preventative maintenance program.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
Able to read and understand technical/service manuals.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
Welding ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules.
Document repairs and parts used in fleet software tablet.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Mentor other maintenance staff and pursue certificates.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
