Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead on-shift automation support at its Glendale facility, working a 2-2-3 night schedule. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems, and collaborate with operations and maintenance to boost throughput and reliability.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing automation, with strong ability to read electrical schematics and mentor maintenance technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing automation
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
• Excellent cross-functional communication across plant teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput
• Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and system integration
