Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer for the Glendale area with a focus on night shift support. The role provides Tier 1/2 troubleshooting, modifications, and automation project work across high-speed beverage lines.

You will mentor maintenance staff and work with operations, maintenance, and quality to improve reliability and throughput. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related technical field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in food/bev or similar high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with automated production, conveyor, and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automation equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation issues.
• Develop permanent corrective actions for recurring problems.
• Lead small controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Support equipment commissioning and system integration.
