Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join our night shift team on high-speed beverage lines. This on-site role requires hands-on PLC programming and strong troubleshooting across PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motion-control systems.

You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, mentoring operators and maintenance staff, and driving automation-focused improvements while coordinating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualificações

• Hands-on PLC programming, not just troubleshooting: write and modify ladder logic.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls on high-speed production lines.
• Strong troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion, and industrial networks.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour 2-2-3 night rotation, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• This is a salaried engineering role, not entry-level.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues and restore production safely.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions, including PLC and HMI program changes.
• Develop and execute controls projects that improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Support commissioning, controls upgrades, new installations, and system integration projects.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
