Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Arizona is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer for the Glendale/ Phoenix area on a 2-2-3 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/VFD/servo systems, and lead automation improvement projects across high-speed beverage production lines.
The role requires an Associate degree in automation or related field and at least four years of controls experience in food & beverage or similar
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related
- At least four years of industrial automation experience in food & beverage or high-speed manufacturing
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and instrumentation
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert across production lines
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated equipment
- Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD/servo and network issues and restore production safely
- Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and operators
- Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and change control processes
