Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks a Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ facility on a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues across automated packaging, conveying, and processing lines.

You will lead controls projects, assist with safety and reliability improvements, and mentor maintenance technicians and operators while collaborating with operations, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and fix equipment issues to restore production safely and quickly.
• Lead or participate in controls-focused improvement projects.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; support training.
