Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Engineer for a night shift to support a Buckeye, AZ facility. You will serve as the on-site controls expert, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and networks across filling, conveying, and packaging lines.

You will mentor maintenance staff, lead controls projects, and contribute to safety, quality, and throughput improvements. A 2-2-3 night schedule and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation, or related field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience troubleshooting automated production, conveyor, and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
