Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks a Controls Engineer for on-site work in Buckeye, AZ, supporting a 2-2-3 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will provide Tier 1–2 troubleshooting, lead automation projects, and mentor maintenance technicians and operators.

The role requires strong PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and network knowledge, with a focus on safety, reliability, and throughput in a high-speed beverage/manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation and controls, or a related technical discipline.
• At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience troubleshooting automated production, conveyor, and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Support high-speed beverage processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
