Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital registration or insurance verification experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required.
• Ability to explain insurance benefits.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Validate and enter demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance data into the patient accounting system.
• Perform registration across inpatient, outpatient, ED, labs and other settings.
• Prepare patient estimates and collect liabilities at check-in.
• Obtain physician orders for tests and procedures.
• Prepare IDs, scans, signatures and secure valuables as required.
