Job summary
Staples, Inc. is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Portland, Oregon. You will operate forklifts and related equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and support a safety-first culture while coordinating with team members.
The role requires at least 12 months in a warehouse, ability to pass a drug screen, and willingness to work overtime as needed. The position reports to the Staples Logistics team with full-time or part-time benefits.
Qualifications
- 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment
- Pass a drug screen where legally permissible
- Full-time associates may require additional overtime hours as needed
- Lift/push/pull equipment/merchandise up to 100 pounds
- Must wear safety composite work shoes
- Walk and stand 100% of the time
- Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator duties in a fast-paced warehouse
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or pallet jacks safely
- Maintain clean and safe work area and follow safety procedures
- Contribute to Staples Supply Chain success and customer service
