Job summary

Staples is hiring for Warehouse Associate positions in Portland, OR, with a night shift from 10:00pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday. You may work in six areas including bulk handling, porter, replenishment, receiving, returns, and shipping, with potential role shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move product up to 100 lbs, maintaining safety standards, and supporting a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime hours may be required based on business need.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to pick and move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse.
• Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator tasks and safety adherence.
• Warehouse Porter duties include cleaning and basic maintenance in and around the facility.
• Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: verify product accuracy and resolve discrepancies; unload trucks.
• Warehouse Returns: match quantities to packing slips and tag returns; move product safely.
• Shipping: organize, stack, shrink-wrap orders and load trucks manually.
• Note: SC2 associates may be moved to SC1 roles as needed.
• You will be essential to Staples Supply Chain success and safety culture.
