Job summary

Staples, Inc. in Massachusetts is hiring a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor new material handlers and stand in for supervisors as needed.

You’ll operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse, while keeping safety at the forefront and maintaining a clean, organized space. The role runs 3:30pm–12:00am on Saturdays and Sundays, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• If hired as a Full-Time associate, must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks within a warehouse, adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and support Staples Supply Chain in delivering to customers.
