Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Missouri. The role involves mentoring new material handlers, training peers, and stepping in for supervisors as needed.

You will operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within a fast-paced warehouse. You will ensure safety, maintain a clean workspace, and support Staples' supply chain goals by driving efficient, accurate material flow.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Must be able to work overtime beyond scheduled shift when needed.
• Lift/push/pull merchandise up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handling staff and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks to move product.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain success by ensuring timely deliveries.
