Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor new staff and fill in for supervisors as needed. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, lift heavy loads, and maintain a safe, clean workspace in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

We value safety, reliability, and teamwork as core parts of our culture. The role requires 12+ months of warehouse experience, the ability to pass a safety-focused environment, and flexibility for overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator and mentor/train new handlers.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, pallet jacks) following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support supervisor coverage as needed.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain efficiency and safety culture.
