Job summary

Staples Supply Chain seeks a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor staff and fill in for supervisors as needed. You will move product using forklifts and related equipment, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with colleagues to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Must pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• If hired full-time, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers; fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, pallet jacks) safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace while moving product in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain goals by delivering throughput and safety.
