Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in our Tampa location. You will mentor and train new material handlers, fill in for supervisors, and operate equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets and electric pallet jacks to move products efficiently.

Safety is prioritized as you maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow procedures. The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, passing a drug screen, and availability for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
Full-Time associates may require additional hours beyond scheduled shift.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Must wear safety composite work shoes.
Must walk/stand 100% of the time.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator duties and mentor/train new material handlers.
Fill in for supervisors as needed.
Operate equipment to move product while following safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
