Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Lithia Springs, GA to mentor teammates and efficiently move products using forklifts and related equipment. You will uphold safety, train new handlers, and fill in for supervisors as needed while contributing to fast, accurate order fulfillment.

The role requires more than a year in a warehouse, ability to pass a background/drug screen, and physical stamina to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permitted.
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed.
• Must lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must walk/stand 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors when needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse following safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and support Staples Supply Chain in delivering products to customers.
