Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an Admitting Representative to support patient admissions. You will verify demographic and financial information, assign medical records and accounts, and process pre-certifications while documenting details in the system.

The role requires a high school diploma and 0-2 years in a medical or high-volume service setting. You will interact with patients, physicians, and staff, handling insurance questions and co-pays.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a medical setting or high-volume customer service using data entry and insurance processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling demographic and financial information.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification now or within 90 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient demographic and financial information.
• Assign correct medical record and account numbers for accurate billing.
• Complete pre-certification, referrals or deposits and document in system.
• Notify patients about co-pays, deductibles, and insurance issues.
• Review physician orders and ensure all required information is listed.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide strong customer service.
