Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a skilled industrial maintenance technician for 3rd shift on-site in Illinois. The role covers installation, configuration and troubleshooting of sensors, PLC I/O modules and control wiring, plus complex motor drives and servos.

You will diagnose, program and maintain PLCs and HMIs, and work with Profibus, serial and Industrial Ethernet networks. Strong PLC and servo experience, ability to read electrical schematics, and familiarity with safety procedures are required;

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs and servo systems is required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (lockout/tagout) preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
• Diagnose HMI graphics configurations and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors and production equipment.
• Support safety and quality in daily maintenance activities.
