Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Illinois is seeking a skilled industrial controls technician for 3rd shift. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, servo systems, HMI interfaces, and associated control wiring, while ensuring safe operation of 480V three-phase systems.

You will diagnose encoders, load cells and feedback devices, program ladder logic, and manage preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment. 3rd shift is required with overtime details as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment in manufacturing preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE).
• PLC programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs and servo drives.
• Maintain encoders, load cells and position feedback devices.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot graphic HMI/SCADA interfaces and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose electrical schematics and preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
