Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Illinois is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC/HC interfaces and related control wiring on a 3rd shift. You will diagnose 480V power distribution, servo drives, encoders, and HMI interfaces while performing preventative maintenance on conveyors and production lines.

The role requires a high school diploma and proven PLC/servo experience, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
Strong ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control wiring.
Experience with PLCs, servo drives, encoders, and HMI interfaces is required.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and associated wiring.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; program PLC and HMI interfaces.
Modify PLC control logic via ladder logic and diagnose HMI/graphic interfaces.
Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and electrical schematics.
Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors and production equipment.
