McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to join our shop in Rosemount, MN.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration systems and diesel engines, both mechanical and electrical, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. This full-time role requires 2 years of diesel experience, a valid Class C license (Class A preferred), and the ability to work the night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Qualifications

• 2 years of diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance/repairs.
• One year of fleet maintenance experience or prior upper-scale Class C Technician employment.
• Valid Class C Driver's License (Class A preferred).
• Read/write/understand English to perform job tasks safely.
• Certification in relevant systems (e.g., 608/609, engine certifications) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration and diesel systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components including clutches, water pumps, tires, drive lines, transmissions, brakes.
• Perform wheel and axle alignments, front wheel alignments, and cooling system troubleshooting.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; cut/weld using torch and welding equipment; maintain tools.
• Complete paperwork and computer input; follow safety rules and work independently or in teams.
• Be trained to operate required equipment within 30 days; participate in on-call rotation.
