Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and trade school in heavy-duty diesel repairs or refrigeration.
• At least 2 years of diesel repair, tractor-trailer and refrigeration maintenance experience.
• One year of fleet maintenance experience or prior progression to upper-scale class technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration systems.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs with and without supervision.
• Diagnose, repair, and tune diesel engines; perform alignments for axles and wheels.
• Read service bulletins and manuals, maintain tools, and complete paperwork.
