Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Mechanic II to service trailers and trailer refrigeration. You will diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines, brakes, transmissions and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Flexibility for on-call and road calls is required. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reading service bulletins, keeping records, and collaborating with peers to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Trade school graduate or equivalent in heavy duty diesel & refrigeration.
• Two years diesel repair and refrigeration maintenance experience.
• ASE PMI Certification (T8) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Valid Class C license; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration and diesel engines.
• Diagnose, repair, and tune complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Operate tools; read service bulletins and manuals; complete paperwork.
