Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic II to support our trailer refrigeration maintenance and diesel repair work in Cottage Grove, MN.

You will perform both simple and complex mechanical tasks, including diagnostic testing, wheel alignments, and tune-ups, while following safety rules and collaborating with the shop team. The role requires a minimum of two years in diesel repairs and refrigeration, plus ASE PMI certification within a year.

Qualifications

• Two years diesel repair experience on tractor-trailer refrigeration.
• Valid Class C driver's license; Class A preferred.
• ASE PMI certification within 1 year (PMI).
• Ability to read and understand English sufficiently for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform Grade 4 mechanic functions and preventive maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and repairs on diesel engines and cooling systems.
• Perform front wheel and axle alignments on trailers.
• Read service bulletins and manuals and maintain tools and shop workspace.
• Complete paperwork and data entry related to work orders.
