Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Mazeppa, MN is seeking a Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs on trailer refrigeration and diesel engines.

This role offers a night shift 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to work with skilled teams. You will diagnose, repair, and tune engines, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrains, read service bulletins, complete paperwork, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; trade school in heavy‑duty diesel repairs.
• 2 years of diesel repairs, tractor‑trailer, refrigeration maintenance.
• 1 year fleet maintenance experience or upper scale Class C tech with the company.
• Own basic hand tools (up to 1/2" drive).
• Must obtain ASE PMI within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Perform front wheel and axle alignments on trailers.
• Repair transmissions, clutches, water pumps, brakes and wheel seals.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; complete paperwork and computer input.
• Work independently and in a team; on‑call rotations and road calls as needed.
