Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks a Mechanic II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration and diesel engines. You will diagnose, repair, and tune complex mechanical and electrical systems, and complete all required paperwork.

The role requires work ethic, independence, and teamwork in a shop setting. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of diesel/refrigeration experience, and ASE PMI or equivalent certification within a year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; trade school in heavy duty diesel or refrigeration.
• 2 years diesel repair and refrigeration experience.
• 1 year fleet maintenance experience or current company at upper Class C.
• Own basic hand tools (½ inch) and tool storage.
• ASE PMI certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; maintain tools.
• Complete repairs without supervision, including clutches, water pumps, brakes.
• Maintain safety and complete paperwork.
