McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a fully trained Shop Mechanic II to perform maintenance and repairs on trailers and refrigeration power units.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and related components, with the ability to work independently or in a team. The position offers a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with a competitive pay rate of $26.00 - $32.00 per hour plus a $0.50 shift premium, and benefits beginning after 60 days, including

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school in heavy duty diesel repairs/refrigeration recommended.
• 2 years diesel repair experience (tractor-trailer) and refrigeration maintenance experience.
• 1 year fleet maintenance experience or internal progression to Class C Technician.
• Own basic hand tools (up to 1/2" drive).
• Must obtain ASE PMI (T8) within 1 year; Class C license required (A preferred).
• Read/write/understand English to perform tasks safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform Grade 4 mechanic functions and preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units.
• Repair and diagnose diesel engines and trailer components.
• Carry out complex mechanical and electrical repairs without supervision.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; document work and maintain tools.
• Be flexible with schedule; participate in on-call rotation and road calls when required.
