Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mechanic II to perform extensive trailer refrigeration maintenance and complex mechanical and electrical repairs at our Washington shop.

The role requires reading service bulletins, diagnosing issues, and completing necessary paperwork with minimal supervision. You will work a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, enjoy comprehensive benefits after 60 days, and participate in a team focused on safety and quality repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school in heavy diesel or refrigeration preferred.
• 2 years experience in diesel repairs including tractor-trailers and refrigeration.
• ASE PMI certification within 1 year is expected.
• Valid Class C driver license; Class A preferred.
• Willingness to work night shift and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required shop duties for Mechanic II and troubleshoot trailer refrigeration.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and refrigeration power units.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and related components.
• Read and apply service bulletins and manuals; maintain shop tools and records.
