Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a fully trained shop mechanic (Mechanic II) to perform trailer refrigeration repairs, preventive maintenance, and complex mechanical and electrical work.

The role requires diagnosing components such as pumps, clutches, drive lines, transmissions, and braking systems, with on-call road service as needed. Responsibilities include completing paperwork, following safety rules, and communicating clearly with supervisors.

Qualifications

• HD diploma or GED; trade school in diesel/refrigeration preferred.
• 2+ years diesel repair and refrigeration maintenance experience.
• ASE PMI certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on trailers.
• Maintain refrigeration systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete paperwork and computer input accurately.
• Be available for shop on-call rotation and road calls.
