Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, Arizona is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for the night shift to own and support automation across production lines. The role requires diagnosing PLC/HMI/VFD systems, mentoring maintenance technicians, and driving improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.

The successful candidate will work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams on continuous improvements, with a 2-2-3 night schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) and a base

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in automation/engineering tech.
4+ years in industrial automation in high-speed manufacturing.
Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming.
Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert.
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and networks.
Implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues.
Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
