Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) at our Glendale, AZ facility to support high-speed beverage production. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems while mentoring maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
• At least four years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks, and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Excellent communication across plant functions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls expert and provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement control projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Support high-speed beverage processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging systems.
• Maintain documentation, backups, and change records for controls.
