Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, Arizona, is hiring a Controls Engineer for the night shift to support high-speed beverage production.
You will diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and network issues, mentor maintenance technicians, and lead controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
This on-site role requires 2-2-3 night schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM); relocation assistance and a 20% target bonus are available for qualified arrivals.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent industry experience in engineering technology or controls.
- At least four years of automation/controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; collaborate across departments.
