Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Engineer for a Glendale, AZ on-site role. The position operates on a 2-2-3 night schedule, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, and requires leading automation initiatives across packaging lines.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing control systems, strong PLC/HMI skills, and the ability to train technicians while driving improvements in reliability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology or automation.
• 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills; read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls expert and provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues; restore production safely.
• Lead controls projects improving safety, quality, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; document changes.
