Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced Controls Engineer for a Glendale, AZ facility operating on a 2-2-3 night schedule. Lead on-shift automation, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/VFD issues, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.

You will mentor technicians, document changes, and support equipment commissioning and system integration. Prior beverage processing or high-speed packaging exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related discipline.
4+ years in industrial automation in high-speed manufacturing.
Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming.
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks.
Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety and throughput.
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
Maintain backups, drawings, and change records.
Support commissioning and system integration projects.
