Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for our Glendale, AZ facility. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for high-speed beverage equipment and packaging lines.

You will lead controls projects, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations, maintenance and quality to improve throughput, safety and reliability on a 2-2-3 night schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM). Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation and controls, or a related technical discipline.
• At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, or high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production, processing and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Maintain PLC/HMI backups and controls documentation.
