Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer for a Glendale, AZ site on a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM). You’ll serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshoot Tier 1/2 issues, and drive automation improvements across bottling and packaging lines.
You will mentor maintenance staff, lead project work, and collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering to boost safety, reliability, and throughput. Experience with high-speed beverage equipment is preferred.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in automation/controls.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with automated production, packaging, conveyors, or similar equipment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance staff.
