Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, Arizona, is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support high-speed beverage manufacturing on a 2-2-3 night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshoot PLC/HMI, and lead automation improvement projects across production, processing, filling, packaging, and conveying systems.
The ideal candidate has at least four years in industrial automation, an associate degree in a related field, and strong
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field or equivalent experience.
- At least four years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks, and electrical control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
- Maintain backups and documentation.
