Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to be the on-site expert in Glendale, AZ, on a 2-2-3 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networks, and lead automation improvement projects across packaging lines.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing controls, strong cross-functional communication, and the ability to mentor technicians while driving reliability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level equivalent education or technical degree with hands-on automation/control experience.
• Minimum four years’ industrial automation experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues and implement fixes.
• Develop and execute control system projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration projects.
• Mentor and train maintenance technicians and operators.
