Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Engineer for an on-site Glendale, AZ facility with a 2-2-3 night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will lead automation projects, diagnose PLC/HMI issues, and mentor technicians to improve safety and throughput.
The role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI skills, and experience with Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix. Base salary ranges $100k–$130k with a 20% target bonus and relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field with relevant experience.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert, providing Tier 1-2 support.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; provide training.
- Maintain backups and documentation for PLC/HMI programs.
