Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site Glendale, AZ facility on a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will troubleshoot and optimize PLC/HMI systems, mentor technicians, and lead controls projects to boost safety, quality, and throughput.

Requirements include 4+ years in industrial automation, an associate degree in a related field, and strong PLC/HMI/drive experience. Relocation assistance is available and a 20% target bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field; 4+ years in industrial automation.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Excellent communication across plant departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
• Develop and implement controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
• Maintain backups and documentation; support commissioning and upgrades.
