Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer for on-site work in Glendale, AZ. The role supports high-speed beverage production, troubleshooting PLC/HMI/VFD, and leading automation projects on the night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule.
The ideal candidate has at least four years of automation experience, an associate degree in a related field, and proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk. A 20% target bonus and relocation assistance are offered.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in engineering tech, automation, or related field.
- 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Experience with automated production, packaging, or conveyance equipment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
- Diagnose and repair equipment to restore production safely and quickly.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls topics.
