Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ facility to act as on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and motion-control systems to keep lines running efficiently.
You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality, lead automation projects, and mentor technicians and operators. Relocation assistance and a 20% target bonus accompany a base salary of $100,000–$130,000.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, automation or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks, and electrical control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert for automation systems.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD issues and restore production safely.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
- Maintain backups, documentation, and change records.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integrations.
