Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for a Glendale, Arizona facility. The role focuses on on-shift automation support, troubleshooting, and project delivery to improve reliability and throughput.

You will mentor technicians, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with operations and quality teams on plant-wide automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
4+ years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks, and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
