Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support on-site automation at our Glendale, AZ facility. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLC, HMI, VFD, and motion-control systems across bottling and packaging lines.

You will lead minor to moderate controls projects, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations and quality to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks, and electrical control systems.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; maintain documentation.
