Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead on-shift automation support for high-speed beverage manufacturing. The role includes Tier 1/2 troubleshooting, PLC/HMI/VFD/servo diagnostics, and implementing controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
- 4+ years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Strong communication and cross-department collaboration.
- Willingness to work 2-2-3 night schedule 6pm-6am.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and networking issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Support high-speed beverage processing systems including filling, canning, conveying, and packaging.
- Maintain backups, documentation, and change records; participate in MOC.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
