Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a experienced Controls Engineer for a night-shift role at our Glendale, AZ facility. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and networks, and lead automation projects with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing automation, can read electrical schematics, and is ready to mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
- At least four years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night shift 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
- Develop controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records.
- Lead training and mentorship for maintenance staff.
