Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a Glendale, AZ facility. This on-site role supports high-speed beverage production with Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting, PLC/HMI diagnostics, and automation projects.

You will mentor maintenance staff, back up PLC/HMI programs, and lead improvements across safety, quality, and throughput. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• At least four years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Support high-speed beverage processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging systems.
• Collaborate with teams on continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
