Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer for its Glendale, AZ facility. This on-site role covers night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM, 2-2-3 schedule) with a base salary of $100,000–$130,000 and a 20% target bonus. Relocation assistance is available to qualified candidates.
The engineer provides Tier 1/2 troubleshooting, leads automation projects, mentors technicians, and collaborates across operations, maintenance, engineering and quality to boost reliability and throughput.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in fast-paced environments.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and implement fixes.
- Excellent communication across plant teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert for automated production lines.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD and motion control.
- Diagnose issues, restore production safely and propose permanent fixes.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls.
